Consent forms, incident reports, the path a patient takes from the front door to the ward. The everyday systems that decide whether a clinic runs well on a bad day. We start there.
Approach
The consent sheet, the incident log, the handover note. If a fix does not survive there, it will not survive anywhere.
We want to know how a system actually works before we replace any of it. Most of the time the manual is right and the process around it is not.
One form at a time beats one platform a year from now. Each fix earns the trust to make the next one.
A tool works when the night shift keeps using it without being asked. That is the metric. Everything else is a chart.
Founder
Semicoded is founded by Omar ElBasatiny, a general and laparoscopic surgeon from Cairo. He started as an intern on the wards of a private clinic and later became its operations manager, which is where the building began: consent forms, incident reports, a door-to-door patient flow, and a staff reward system people actually liked.
He helped write the curriculum that taught medical students how to frame a question and search the literature, and he is partway through an MBA. Semicoded is what happens when that habit of fixing the next annoying thing gets a name.
